Our Vision | Meet The Team

Our Vision

The mission of HBCUCONNECT.COM is really many fold. We are currently striving to be a cohesive link between all Historically Black Colleges and Universities worldwide. Our forum is currently focused on providing free information and services for the HBCU community; Including both currently enrolled and prospective students, parents, faculty and alumni.

Our mission begins in the fall of 2000. Over the next decade, we want to be the main catalyst for greater HBCU awareness, large scale HBCU enrollment,

constant alumni communication, community leadership development and more efficient networking. The 'central' in our name signifies our desire to be the best on-line resource for HBCU news, information, announcements and happenings. We see our site as being the premier clearinghouse for all things related to the HBCU Collegiate experience.

Imagine the possibilities... We as a community, increasing the awareness of these great educational institutions, resulting in the vast majority of our African American High School students choosing to attend HBCUs. HBCUConnect.com wants to play a part in insuring that our HBCUs maintain excellence, and that they are held responsible for teaching our youth what they may have missed out on while going to non-black grade school and high schools.

The creators of HBCUConnect.com are all Alumni of historically black colleges or universities; some of us represent the third or fourth generation. Our pride in our alma maters and our commitment to their continual development is reflected in this site. Help our vision become a reality. Participate. Communicate. Matriculate. Grow.

It takes a community effort to make a difference. That may be the difference between HBCUConnect and other college/educational websites. We have been there. We have reaped the benefits... Now it's time for us to give back...
